| Check out what Marilyn (and Andy) have done with this old door! This is an old 4-horizontal panel door and they've split off the botton two panels and turned them on end to form the sides of the bench. The seat is the oak top of a dresser they used for the Mission-style bench featured in a previous post. The cracked and chipped paint is the original door paint with an antique glaze added to highlight the texture. This is perfect for the front porch, back patio, or the entryway! And there are no seams at the arms! Each half of the bodice and its attached sleeve are cut on the selvage from one piece of fabric. The facing is the folded over and pressed selvage. This makes the neckline super smooth without any top stitching. The 1950's housewife who made this dress was an artist.
